ACPO: not even trying

In my previous post I mentioned that I’d asked the Association of Chief Police Officers some questions.
Specifically, they were on whether there are any national guildelines on keeping police officers up-to-date with the rapidly changing laws of this country, and on how serious a disciplinary matter it should be considered for police officers to claim that something perfectly legal is an offence (”principally though not exclusively relating to taking photographs or filming in public places”).
Their reponse was to send me their guide on photography in public places.
Not even trying to answer my actual question.
