In Tom Clancy’s novel Rainbow Six, some environmentalists (with the emphasis very much on “mentalists”) try to wipe out half the Earth’s population for the benefit of the planet.
It’s probably only a short step to that from this.

Didn’t think to check the link before clicking, and I started opening a CiF page. I hope it doesn’t count as a hit for them seeing as how I closed the tab before it could load fully.
That’s the closest I’ve been to that den of unfree speech and busybody “mind your manners and wash behind your ears” nannyism for over a year.
