Etymologists assert that ‘friday’ comes from the old English ‘frigedæg’, or the day of Frige, the Norse goddess of beauty.

I read that the slogan “Thanks God it’s Friday”, by which american employees celebrate their last day of work has been replaced by “Thanks God it’s not Tuesday” since the company Challenger Gray & Christmas discovered that, in 55 % of the cases, big american companies announce dismissals on tuesday. interesting, isn’t it?
