By day, Chris White is the assistant editor of a newspaper for the physics community. By night he is a freelance writer and journalist.

He has previously worked for a range of publications from Front magazine to the Guardian newspaper, as variously a writer, sub-editor and researcher.

In 2007 he completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Magazine Journalism at Cardiff University, a course accredited by the Periodicals Training Council and including a module on automotive journalism accredited by the Guild of Motoring Writers. This wound up three years and 88,000 words of award-winning student journalism.

This website consists of a searchable portfolio of Chris’s freelance articles, general musings in his blog, a short biography, contact details and some nice things people have occasionally said about him, and some trumpet-blowing details of the student journalism awards he won.
